Applying for a Teaching Position
To apply for a teaching position in Darlington County, you must complete an online application with the SC State Teacher Application System, CERRA (Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention, & Advancement). To view our teaching vacancies for the current school year, click here!
How to Apply
1. Complete the teacher application online at

2. Include a minimum of three (3) professional references on your application.

***We no longer accept hard copies of these documents.
***CERRA does not make copies of documents.

You may send any additional documents, including a copy of your out-of-state certificate, resume, cover letter, reference letters, etc. to us by one of the following methods. We will keep your information on file for at least one year.

N.E.T. Profit (Netting Excellent Teachers)

For current Darlington County School District employees, you are eligible to receive $100.00 if the certified teacher you refer to us is hired and remains in the district for a minimum of one year through the N.E.T. Profit Program. Refer to the guidelines and complete the form to participate in this program. Send completed referral forms to the Department of Human Resources.
