COLUMBIA, S.C. — Lamar scored at such a frenzied pace in Friday’s Class A state final that any fan who watched it could not help waking up Saturday and wonder one thing: Did the Silver Foxes just score again?
Coach Corey Fountain’s team set a SCHSL single-game state football championship scoring record with their 74-46 win against Baptist Hill. Not to mention, Lamar also piled up 722 yards total offense while scoring on each of its first 10 possessions.
