HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Two Darlington County School District career specialists will serve in statewide capacities for the next year after being elected recently as officers for the South Carolina Career Development Professionals Division (SCCDP) of the South Carolina Association for Career and Technical Education (SCACTE).
Hartsville High School’s Sara Orlowski will serve as president of SCCDP, and Hartsville Middle School’s Jackie Collum will serve as treasurer. The elections were held during the annual SCCDP Conference in Myrtle Beach in December.
“We know that these officers will represent Darlington County School District well as they fulfill their officer duties,” said Ray Boland, executive director of SCACTE. “They will be leading their division at the Education and Business Summit in Greenville in June and the SCCDP Conference in December.”
SCCDP is comprised of career development professionals who work in a variety of K-16 settings. Members work to design, implement and evaluate career development programming to support career and technology education, career decision making and career pathways.
SCACTE and SCCDP strive to provide members with valuable resources and opportunities for professional development, advocacy, networking and career enhancement.
