DARLINGTON, S.C. – The Darlington County Board of Education approved a revised version of the 2018-2019 school district calendar at its Oct. 8 meeting.
The revised calendar addresses the days the school district closed due to Hurricane Florence.
In all, Darlington County School District students missed seven days in September. The district made up one day on Sept. 21. According to the revised calendar approved by the board, Nov. 5, Feb. 15, March 7 and 8, April 19, and June 7 are now regular school days.
The missed days also caused the ends of the academic quarters and the report card release dates to be pushed back several days. The revised calendar reflects those new dates.
