DARLINGTON, S.C. – Dennis Gearhart, the varsity baseball coach for Darlington High School, has announced he will give up his coaching duties at the end of the academic year in order to pursue personal interests.
Gearhart has been a baseball coach in the Darlington County School District for the past 12 years, the last four as varsity baseball coach at Darlington High. He will continue to serve as the Coordinating Teacher at St. John’s Elementary School. Darlington High School will begin the search for a new baseball coach soon.
"Mr. Gearhart has been an important part of our Falcon family," said Cortney Gehrke, principal of Darlington High. "He has done much to grow our baseball program and we wish him well in his future endeavors."
