DCSD graduates earn more than $17 million in scholarships

Image of moneyDARLINGTON, S.C. – Darlington County School District’s (DCSD) Class of 2021 earned more than $17.39 million in college scholarship offers.

This year’s seniors earned $17,390,717 through a combination of state lottery, service, military, private and college-sponsored scholarships. Of the total, $4.6 million came from the state scholarships: LIFE, HOPE and Palmetto Fellows.

Mayo High School for Math, Science and Technology graduates led the way in 2021 with more than $6.3 million in potential college funding. Darlington High School and Hartsville High School seniors netted more than $4.1 million each. Lamar High School graduates accumulated $2.7 million.
