Expanded School Choice

THE EXPANDED CHOICE APPLICATION PROCESS for the 2024-2025 school year opens February 1, 2024, and closes February 29, 2024 at 3:00pm.

The Expanded Choice Program was created in an effort to give parents more flexibility and control in the education process. This program is not to be confused with the Title One Choice program as outlined by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).

Please make sure that you click on the 'FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS' button to the right for more pertinent information regarding the Expanded Choice Program. If you have additional questions, please email Casey Rheuark at casey.rheuark@darlington.k12.sc.us. 

Registration for the 2024-25 school year will begin before Expanded Choice selections are known. Please register your child at their original zoned school. If your child is accepted into Expanded Choice, the registration will automatically be sent over to the Expanded Choice school.

When the application window opens, select an application from the menu. If you would like to apply for more than one school, you will need to submit a NEW application for EACH school.
