Student Health Services

Darlington County School District Student Health Services promotes optimal health and well-being of school aged children in the school setting.

School nurses provide assessment of acute illness and chronic condition management during the school day, as well as administer prescribed medication and medical treatment. School nurses are also responsible for ensuring students have up-to-date immunizations per South Carolina state law. Students also have access to health screenings, referral and follow-up.

If your child has a chronic illness, please provide this information to your school nurse to ensure a healthy and safe learning environment for your child.
